Bachelor in Marketing Management (BBA) will provide the student with knowledge of strategic marketing, product management, promotion, pricing, distribution, sales, and other essential marketing principles. You will become a better marketer, strengthening your prospects and effectiveness.
As a competency-based online program, progress through your studies is determined by demonstrating your competence through carefully designed assessments and completion of a professional portfolio. As a student in this program, you will complete the courses listed below in order to graduate. These courses are required, though you may be able to clear some of these requirements through a course-by-course transcript analysis. Each course contains a study guide and recommended learning resources for you to use. Your assigned mentor will help guide you through the process. Graduates of this program may advance into SMC’s accredited online MBA program. The program is a combination of academic content adapted for the inexperienced student or experienced working professional, coupled with extensive academic and industry related exposure. Graduates of this program may advance to the EduStudy’s accredited online MBA program.
EDUSTUDY OPEN-LEARNING GRADUATE PROGRAMME
The Open-Learning Graduate Programme forms part of the open-learning network of international qualification delivery institutions (universities, business schools etc), awarding bodies and government-certified professional organisations that monitors professional and quality standards in tertiary education.
COURSE ALIGNMENT AND ACCREDITATION
The Bachelor in Marketing Management (BBA) is comprised of study modules, prescribed exercises, assignments and diverse assessment options regulated by and aligned against prescribed learning outcomes and forms part of the EduStudy Open-Learning Graduate Programme that enables the student to progress from a Diploma in Business Skills (DipBus) to an internationally accredited MBA in Business Management followed by a PhD in Business Management (See the EduStudy Qualification Framework).
COURSE DURATION & AWARDING OF QUALIFICATIONS
The duration of the course is 18-24 months and is made available via an Open-Learning Online Study Platform that links EduStudy and participating university and award institutions internationally. The registration, tuition and assessment process is online-delivered either via the Internet or Android/I-phone or Windows smart-phone applications. The BBA is completed in academic phases that interweave and provides the student with a truly international study experience that combines different international university-level platforms at different times of the study process.
Continuous Assessment is done via the EduStudy Online Study Platform (EOSP) integrated with the Learner Management System (LMS) of the partnering award or university institution and is based on multiple question variations that tests the student’s knowledge and understanding of the module content and associated learning outcomes at different levels. Knowledge of specific module details and of the additional references given in the modules will be required to answer assessment questions and careful revision of the subject content is required prior to taking an assessment. Subject matter pertaining to specific learning outcomes will be tested by means of randomly generated questions in line with the defined learning outcomes of the modules. The online assessment format is supplemented by the online submission of prescribed assignments, elective summaries, article reviews and Capstone submissions which is evaluated by a team of examiners/moderators from the university/business school responsible for the specific course module.
Entry to the Bachelor in Tourism and Hospitality Management (BBA) requires a QCF Level 3/4 Qualification or equivalent accredited qualifications. Learners must have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to include relevant work experience (paid/unpaid) with levels of responsibility, participation and/or achievement of a range of relevant professional qualifications for RPLE (Recognition of Prior Learning and Employment) purposes and must be at least 17 years of age.
